  • Too Cold for Skydiving?

Well it’s been over a month now since my last skydive, AFF Level 6, which I need to do again since I messed up the tracking a bit.

  • Psyched Myself Out

After a good couple of skydives on Thursday (Levels 3 and 4) I headed back to the DZ on Sunday to hopefully finish my AFF jumps. We were in a different plane this time, with a taller door, so we’re stood up a bit more, and easier to actually jump from – usually we’re squatting…

  • Fantastic Weather for Skydiving

Well with the crazy weather we’re having at the minute, I had to take a couple of days off work to head to the DZ and see about getting some more skydives in. Clearly a few people had the same idea, bit busier than normal on a weekday (I think).

  • AFF Level 2 Complete

Headed down to the drop zone yesterday, on the promise of decent weather, the winds were calm, but there was a certain level of cloud at 5,000ft, not very good if a student opens their canopy in a cloud and can’t see which direction to head in.

  • Weekend weather looking good

Looking like some light wind and sunny spells tomorrow so should get a few skydives in, not sure how many I could safely manage to be honest, after my first jump last week I needed a stiff drink and a good sit down!

  • Addicted to the weather

Even when there’s no chance of me skydiving on a given day (work is usually the limiting factor here), I can be caught staring out the window wishing I was at the drop zone, wishing I could analyse the weather like a mad man.

  • First Skydive

I headed to the drop zone.  The weather yesterday was perfect for skydiving, so I was hopeful about getting my first skydive in today.

  • AFF Skydiving Ground School

So yesterday was the AFF Skydive Ground School day.  A gentle introduction to skydiving, what to expect, and everything you need to know to land safely on your feet.

  • You’re gonna do what?!?!?

It all started with a tandem skydive 5 years ago in 2006 at Langar airfield near Nottingham.
